Thanksgiving Baking

Today I made:

I have a good feeling about all four but am most excited to try the chocolate & zucchini cake since it's a new recipe and the batter tasted great.  Only after eating several spoonfuls of it did I learn that eating batter increases the likelihood of rain on my wedding day.

I am finally finished with a marathon baking day and for that I am thankful.

Candle Was

We moving.  As such I find myself doing things I've never ever thought of doing before such as clear the melted candle wax from the candle sticks.  As I'm digging in the holes where the candle fits it and pulling the solidified wax with a chop stick I'm thinking, Gosh! What a relief it would be if I could do this to my ears.

Baby's Birthday

Today on Alec's birthday I want everyone to know that I am so proud of the way Alec takes care of his friends and of me.  I'm not gonna make him a pie because we are moving and I'm desperate to empty the pantry, but I promise to let him speak about banking compliance without interruptions or yawning.  He is the best man that I know.  I have never had a closer, better friend.  Happy birthday beloved, friend, partner.

I love you Alec, you're a dream come true.

I am charmed by a city which annually host event whereby all the city's museum are open from 19:00 until 02:00 and all you need is one ticket for less than euro 15.

The Amsterdam Historical Museum remains my favorite.  The Jewish Historical Museum was not depressing like I thought it might be.  I'm especially charmed by a photo depicting a group of motorcycle riders on their bikes in Miami title "Jews and Hogs".  I am especially moved by a series of portraits of Argentinian women who are Mothers of the Missing, each set in a sterile look place, again white tiles, each woman dressed in white like patients in an insane asylum.

Introducing: Basel Consulting

After many months of figuring out how to make a website, going over designs again and again, at times even crying, I have successfully (with exception of a few minor glitches) published a new website for Basel Consulting. Please check it out, I'd love to hear your feedback.

I only just scratched the surface of web design. I am learning not only to a few new software programs but also expectation management (mine and the clients). It's all very challenging to me but the frustrations are not a turn off, and that is encouraging.

Upcoming web goals: Learn how to use style sheets. Design sites for another consulting company, two wedding sites, one for the art business of a pair of friends, and of course one for my business.

I'll admit: I feel pretty cool.
